NEW ! Searra Eleece Essential Oils for Hair Growth ! Part I

It's considered normal to lose 100 strands of hair daily. More than that, if you're experiencing hair loss, or alopecia. Hair loss isn't just a male issue—22 percent of women have this problem, too. Aromatic scalp treatments made with essential oils can help: The oils nourish the deep dermal layers of the skin—where hair follicles are located—and stimulate tiny blood vessels.

It has been found that tea tree oil induces hair growth. It actually helps in unclogging hair follicles and nourishes your roots. Take few drops of tea tree oil, mix it with any carrier oil and simply massage it onto your scalp. You will feel a great refreshing and tingling effect on your scalp. However, you must remember to add carrier oil because tea tree oil for hair growth or otherwise by itself is extremely strong.

Aloe Vera has been used since ancient times to treat hair loss.
Green Tea is a natural antioxidant that helps to detox your hair.

Lavender and Rosemary essential oils benefit all hair types but especially dry hair types AND these essential oils promote hair growth.

11 Cleansing Conditioners !

I'm known to tell my natural clients to ditch Shampoo altogether.. Stay with me...
they're now washing co-washing their scalp and strands with cleansing conditioners. Unlike traditional shampoos, these conditioners contain little to no detergents and chemicals that often leave hair dry, brittle or damaged. Their super-conditioning formulas make them especially ideal for women with thick or curly hair to help maintain moisture. If you have natural hair opt for co-washing (sursely... lol)
Thinking of giving cleansing conditioners a try? Here are 11 of my top picks:
1. WEN Cucumber Aloe Cleansing Conditioner. Celebrity hairstylist Chaz Dean is the mastermind behind this low-lather cleansing conditioner that works on all hair types. Blended with sweet almond oil, cucumber extract and aloe leaf juice, it strengthens your hair and gives it an amazing smell. $32,
2. L'Oreal Paris EverCrème Conditioning Cleanser. To repair severely parched hair, use several pumps of this product to bring it back to a healthy, shiny and hydrated state. $6,
3. As I Am Naturally Coconut CoWash Cleansing Conditioner. Who isn't crazy about coconut oil? Naturally curly-haired girls will appreciate that this creamy cleansing conditioner rinses out super easy. $8,
4. Pantene Cleansing Conditioner, Color Preserve. If you've been slacking on shampooing to extend the life of your hair color, try cleansing with this conditioner that gets you squeaky clean without ruining your dye job. $7,
5. Devacurl No-Poo Conditioning Cleanser. This sulfate-free shampoo alternative helps you achieve your cleanest, bounciest and healthiest curls yet with ingredients like wheat and germseed oil. $19,
6. Ouidad Curl Co-Wash Low-Foam Cleansing Conditioner. Our hair never felt so soft until we lathered up with this moisturizing cleansing conditioner. Tip: A little goes a long way, so don't be heavy-handed. $8,
7. Carol's Daughter Hair Milk™ Conditioning Co-Wash. Even NBA players can't resist Carol's Daughter products. Reach for this co-wash if you want to wash away build-up and reduce frizz without all the added gunk. $18,
8. SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Co-Wash Conditioning Cleanser. This drugstore brand uses the good stuff (e.g. coconut oil, naeem oil and silk protein) to help you achieve a good cleaning that results in softer and shinier locks. $12,
9. EDEN BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea CoWash. What a bargain this sizable jar of cleansing conditioner is for under ten bucks. But what really makes it worthy of your money is its ability to make detangling less stressful. $8,
10. Mizani True Textures Cleansing Cream Conditioning Curl Wash. Get your cleansing and conditioning done in one shot with this richly-fragrant conditioner. $15,
11. Palmer's Olive Oil Formula Cleansing Conditioner. Here's another wallet-friendly cleansing conditioner option that contains vitamin E, extra virgin olive oil and keratin protein. $10,

Everything You've Been Asking for Type IV: Coily Hair :)

    Type 4 - Coily Hair

Type 4 hair can range from fine and thin--to wiry and coarse, with a ton of strands densely packed together.Coily hair has fewer cuticle layers than any other hair type **yawn** which simply means that it has less protection from the damage inflicted with everyday styling: combing, brushing, curling, blow-drying and straightening. Very, very important to keep your Type 4 hair moisturized and protected to avoid breakage and other disorders that stunt growth and cause severe damage. A healthy hair care regimen will take your Natural Type 4 hair from a naughty nightmare to a beautiful crown of sensual beauty. First, you'll want to begin with identifying your Type 4 Hairtype.

    4A - Coily Springy℠

    Type 4A Coily Springy
Type 4a is tightly coiled hair that has an "S" pattern. It has more moisture than 4b; it has a definite curl pattern. The circumference of the spirals is close to that of a crochet needle. The hair can be wiry or fine-textured. It is very fragile with lots of strands densely packed together. Type 4 hair has fewer cuticle layers than other hair types, which means it has less natural protection from damage.

4a celebrites include: Macy GraySolange Knowles, and Leela James.

    Quick Tips

    4B - Coily Crimpy℠

    Type 4B Coily Crimpy
Type 4b has a "Z" pattern, less of a defined curl pattern. Instead of curling or coiling, the hair bends in sharp angles like the letter "Z". Type 4 hair has a cotton-like feel. The hair is very wiry, very tightly coiled or bent and very, very fragile; you must take great care when working with it. Type 4 hair can range from fine/thin to wiry/coarse with lots and lots of strands densely packed together. Type 4b hair often shrinks up to 75% of the actual hair length.

4b celebrites include: Esperanza SpaldingYvette Nicole Brown, and Lauryn Hill.

    Quick Tips

    4C - Coily Ziggly℠

    Type 4C Coily Ziggly
Type 4c hair is composed of curl patterns that will almost never clump without doing a specific hair style. It can range from fine/thin/super soft to wiry/coarse with lots of densely packed strands. 4c hair has been described as a more "challenging" version of 4b hair. Some say 4c looks identical to 4b except that the curls are so tightly kinked, there is seemingly no definition. 4c hair can shrink more than 75%.

4c celebrites include: Jill ScottErykah Badu, and Aevin Dugas.

A few months ago I stumbled upon this image of a modern chess set by Karim Rashid while reading a blog-site I frequent. I spent what felt like hours searching for a site to purchase this fabulously chic set---I just had to have it as the focal point of our black & white living room... My Husband and I both being strategic lovers of a great chess game... one of our most favorite pastimes... But of course as I begin clicking away for one thing online.. I become easily distracted and begin yet another dire mission.

I never did find a site where the set was still in stock, Yet the forms and design of this work of art stayed with me for days and carefully birthed inspiration for my next Collection.

This collection is an aggregate of black & white color blocking with use of brocade, jacquard, leather and damask textures and prints--structured peplum and illusion cocktail dresses I simply call "Chess Club Collection".

The reveal will be 12.22.12 @ the very first Fashion Nights Event at Privado---20 N. 2nd St Downtown Harrisburg, PA 17101---a collaborative steer with Fashion Consultant & Wardrobe Stylist Tia Aigne, owner of FashnFREAK,Inc. A posh networking event for Models, Designers, Photographers, Stylists, Makeup Artists, Fashion Bloggers, Business Owners & those with the like passion for fashion.
Nine pieces from the collection will be revealed live by some of Harrisburgs top local models. Kelly Ann Shuler Photography---the official event photographer. This is The Fashion Occasion you do not want to miss!!!!
